The Dorm Auditions

In All, Theatre by Oscar Gaxiola

Hello UCR Actors and Voice Actors! Are you interested in acting with just your voice behind a microphone? Are you interested in being part of performance based voice research? Look no more. The Dorm is a podcast show (similar to a radio drama) mokumentary style that follows a group of students living in a dorm dealing with college life. The show is a situational comedy based off of the office , Parks and Precreation, and Modern Family.

We are looking for 4-5 actors who have versatile voices. The time commitment is not big with a rehearsal and microphone workshop date/time to be decided for this Fall Quarter. For both the winter and spring quarter there will be a commitment of three total hours (split) each quarter of individual recording sessions with flexible scheduling with one of the cast actors getting to be part of a live recording show and the rehearsal prior to the show during the winter quarter.

Audition dates:
Thursday November 10th from 12:30- 3:30 PM at Rivera Library Study Room 211
Monday November 14th from 4:30-7:30 PM at Rivera Library Study Room 210.

If you cannot make auditions we can email you the sides and you may record your audition to send in before Sunday November 13th. Email Aniella Fields at: afiel001@ucr.edu for sides if you are recording your audition and sending it in via email or for any other questions about auditions.

For auditions look at the show and character descriptions and be prepared to come in and audition with two characters with two completely different voices. The sides will be provided at auditions.
