Miles Anderson has been acting and directing for stage and screen for many years. His most recent appearance is in the film LaLaLand. At The Old Globe, San Diego, he appeared in The Madness of George III and The Merchant of Venice (both of which garnered him the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle Craig Noel Awards for Best Actor).The Tempest, Midsummer Night’s Dream and Amadeus also reunited Miles with Adrian Noble after their work at the Royal Shakespeare Company, which included Macbeth and The Comedy of Errors. Other theatre appearances include his Oliviernominated Sigismund in Life’s a Dream, Twelfth Night and Volpone and the receipt of three British Theatre Awards. His West End appearances include The Weir, Oliver! and The Rehearsal. His film work includes Cry Freedom and Lorna Doone. Miles’ recent television appearances include Baskets, Criminal Minds, Battle Creek and Le Bureau des Legends for Canal Plus. U.K. credits include Midsomer Murders, Dempsey in ITV’s Ultimate Force, Roger O’Neill in the original BBC’s award-winning House of Cards and Dan Fortune in the hit series Soldier, Soldier. He has directed in the UC on several occasions including The Grapes of Wrath (UC Davis) and Measure for Measure (UCR), as well as performing in Chuck Evered’s Wilderness of Mirrors.
