Professor Charles Evered Set to Premiere, “An Actor’s Carol” with Award-Winning Actors

In All, Theatre by Andrew Golden

Professor of Playwriting, Charles Evered is set to premiere his latest play, An Actor’s Carol at the Hi-Desert Cultural Center on December 4, 5, 11, and 12. Providing a fresh take on Dickens’s classic, A Christmas Carol, Evered’s latest tells the tale of Hugh Pendleton, an actor drained of life after having played the character of Scrooge to an incessant degree. Pendleton inevitably encounters three ghosts of his own, in this quirky and compelling one act play.

Splitting the bill as the play’s leading character are Tony Award and three time Emmy Award winner, Hal Linden (Barney Miller, Gilmore Girls) and veteran film and television actor, Bill Cutler (Scrubs, Deuce Bigalow). Linden will initiate the world premiere performance on December 4 and 5, while Cutler will close the show on December 11 and 12.

The University of California, Riverside’s Palm Desert Center will host a reception and “meet and greet” with the company of, An Actor’s Carol on December 1 at 6 PM.

Performance Dates for, An Actor’s Carol are:
December 4 at 7 PM, and December 5 at 2 PM and 7 PM.
Barry Cutler will star December 11 at 7 PM and December 12 at 2 PM and 7 PM.
